"Many waters cannot quench love, Nor will rivers overflow it; If a man were to give all the riches of his house for love, It would be utterly despised."
Song of Solomon 8:7
Our love is so imperfect, but the Scriptures describe a love that is perfect and will never change--the love of Jesus Christ who died to save us from our sins.

When Clouds Are Thick and Ominous, or A Real View of a Beautiful Church On a Dark, Windy Day
Blankets of clouds loomed darkly above this church as light lavished below.
Dismally covered, cheerfully radiating rays of resistance.
It sounds as though you had similar weather to Kansas!! Your poem reminded me of this favorite hymn verse:
"Mid toil and tribulation, And tumult of her war, She waits the consummation Of peace forevermore; Till, with the vision glorious, Her longing eyes are blest, And the great Church victorious Shall be the Church at rest."

Thanks for sharing that beautiful hymn--I love it!
